Developer Diary and News
almost 2 years ago – Wed, May 25, 2022 at 01:11:19 PM

Hello again!! I wanted to reach out and let you know that we have a new video talking the Villains of the Director's Cut and some news on the game's production. We do the Developer Diary every Wednesday and next Wednesday we have Aces Games coming on to talk their horror RPG VHS!

As for production, the TLDR is that they have the card production done and are sending me a picture of EVERYTHING packed into the box. If I am not happy with the box, I will let them know. I was very strict on this one because I want it to be right. But, the card team is finally back in production and are sending the finished cards as of this week according to the rep. They said they will take pictures of everything in the box so that I can approve it and then we go to final assembly and finally on the boat. I know it has taken longer than I ever expected and I hate it as much as you do. I wish there was something that could have been done to make it faster, but it is an odd time and hopefully it returns to normal sooner rather than later. I pray for them all in their current struggles and wish them the best. In the meantime, I will keep you updated as much as I can with everything I know. Until next time, have fun and if you can join us on the streams, I would love to see you there!!

This Just In!
almost 2 years ago – Mon, May 09, 2022 at 07:28:48 AM

So, the manufacturer just sent me these pictures and I wanted to share them with you! Let's start at the beginning!!

So the first thing I wanted to show is the token sheets!

You can see the tokens next to the mats! The mats are next :)
There you see the hunted marks, clues, fatigue tokens, and the big Day side of the Day/Night!
There's the other side. Zombie tokens, damage, and the generic tokens that you can use whenever a Villain or card says "Use a token to...", and the Moon for the Night side of the Day/Night token!
Back side of the first set of mats
Front side!! Colors popping nicely, some Villains, some Locations.
Back half of set 2
Front half, PSA, and Locations!
The next few images are of the box itself! Much longer and larger than the other one. It's showing the top and bottom of the box :)
2 boxes stacked on top of each other to show...something I am sure. I mean, there had to be a reason...
front and back of the box

So there you have it!! That's the state of things as of now. They sent me this as the message, and I want to maintain absolute transparency: "Hi Chris,

Sorry for the delay, the card factory was released yesterday. Production almost done. Here are some photos that I have. (There was a link here that I removed...it was of these images).

And will update more and video next week. Pls kindly check, if you found any problems. Just let me know at once. Thank you for your patience."

So when they send me videos and pictures in the coming week, I will let you know. They have been working hard on this, but their...situation...has made things slow for all manufacturers. I hope that this helps to let you know where things are and how they are progressing. The instant I learn more, I will drop an update here with pics or videos :) When we get the boat, I will try and get the vessel name and post that too. Until next time, have fun!

A quick update
about 2 years ago – Sat, Apr 30, 2022 at 08:42:33 AM

Hello!! I was on this Friday (we stream every Friday at 9PM EST) and I mentioned about the Slaughterville state of things. I have been trying to get in touch with the factory, but they are on their turn for a rolling lockdown. I am waiting to hear back from them and I am hoping that it is soon. My US rep has been GREAT for getting back to me and we are both sure that we will hear something soon. The last they told me was that they are nearing the end and are sending me final production pictures, but then...well...that happened and they haven't been reachable. I promise to hound them more than necessary and the INSTANT I hear anything, I will let you know. In the meantime, feel free to join us on Fridays and if you have any questions I would LOVE to answer them :)

The Future
about 2 years ago – Mon, Mar 28, 2022 at 12:56:33 PM

Hello again all! I realized I didn’t post an update for a bit, but I wanted to get this out there. It’s been a fun and busy time.

1: Slaughterville Director’s Cut is being printed and getting ready to ship. They had a couple of questions on the components, but we’re moving along.

2: I finished the Slaughterville 3 Kickstarter page and we are just waiting for approval. The Vermes was the last villain to test (until we fund in 48 hours and we unlock a NEW villain!) and that is ready to go. So as soon as the page is approved, we will launch in April.

3: This graphic novel is ready to print and ready to go. The CBZ and PDF are done. We just need to wait a few days until we can send them out :) I hope you enjoy the preview pages!

4: Slaughterville Graphic Novel book 2 is coming in the Summer! We are finished with page 7 of 56! They have more pencils and inks finished, but complete pages are up to page 7 :) I would love to show a preview, but I don’t want to give a spoiler just yet :)

Well, that is where we are for right now. I will post more once I have more information. In the meantime, I have been doing videos with Nyobi Comix, Popanimecomics, and others so I would encourage you to check them out. We do have the Laughing Rogue YT channel, a FB page, and we’re on TikTok because…heck I just figured it might be a way to get easy videos out to you :) Until next time, have fun!
